DESCRIPTION
Clay is a type of soil formed by rock metamorphism and naturally rich in mineral salts. It occurs in larger or smaller sediments and is usually extracted from open-cast mines. It was the first natural remedy known to man and has been used for therapeutic purposes for centuries. Clay differs from other elements in its absorbent and adsorbent properties—meaning it can exchange absorbed pollutants and toxins for beneficial minerals. Cattier Ultra-Vented Green Clay, mined in France in environments protected from any contamination, was selected for its unsurpassed quality. Its properties have been enhanced thanks to exposure to the sun. Clay is used in masks, compresses, and clayey water. Absorbent, purifying, and regenerating, Cattier Ultra-Vented Green Clay is particularly suitable for the care of combination and oily skin. It absorbs and regulates excess sebum, eliminates toxins and impurities, revitalizes the skin, and promotes cell renewal. It also has antiseptic and softening properties.

PREPARATION
Clay paste preparation : Pour the green clay into a wooden or glass container and add water. Let it sit for 30 minutes, then mix with a wooden or plastic spatula to obtain a smooth paste. Ultra-aerated green clay can be used alone or in combination with essential oils.
Face mask: Apply a thick layer of clay to your face and neck, avoiding the eye and lip area. Leave on for about 10 minutes, leaving the mask dry. Rinse off with lukewarm water and pat dry with a cotton towel.
As a poultice: Apply the clay to a piece of natural fiber and spread it 2-3 cm thick with a non-metallic spatula. Apply a clay compress directly to the skin and secure it with a bandage, but not too tightly. If applying the compress to an irritated area, place a thin gauze pad between the clay and the skin. Leave the compress in place for one hour. When peeling it off, remove as much clay as possible, moistening it if necessary, then rinse with lukewarm water and dry with a cotton cloth.
Clay Water Preparation : Place one to two tablespoons of green clay into a glass jar, add water, and mix with a wooden or plastic spoon. Allow the clay to settle to the back of the jar, using only clay water.
