Calendula is a very popular herb, but also a garden plant. It is primarily known as a herb used for skin prone to inflammation. It contains essential oil, carotenoids, flavonoids, glycosides, and triterpene saponins, as well as bitter substances, mucilage compounds, organic acids, and phytosterols.
The maceration is made by soaking calendula flowers in cold-pressed organic sunflower oil (1:3). It contains fatty acids, minerals, beta-carotene, and vitamins A, B, C, E, and F. Thanks to these ingredients, it increases skin elasticity, regenerates, and has an anti-inflammatory effect. It is easily absorbed and leaves the skin soft, smooth, and refreshed. Recommended for the care of rough, chapped skin, including skin damaged by frostbite or burns. It is also suitable for the care of skin prone to infections, redness, and cracking. Due to the high content of vitamin E and linoleic acid in sunflower oil, the macerate has antioxidant and anti-acne properties.
