ALA is a compound (fatty acid) that occurs naturally in the human body in the mitochondria and is involved in energy metabolism. ALA exists in the form of two isomers: S-ALA (which is chemically synthesized) and R-ALA (which is produced by the body). Conventional chemical synthesis of alpha-lipoic acid results in a mixture of these two isomers, with the R-ALA form being much more active. ALA is a potent antioxidant that is both water- and fat-soluble, thus neutralizing free radicals that are soluble in both water and fat. It has a significant impact on the restoration of other antioxidant resources—vitamin C, glutathione, coenzyme Q10, and indirectly, vitamin E. Alpha-lipoic acid supplementation demonstrates benefits in various situations of oxidative stress.

INGREDIENTS
R-alpha lipoic acid, rice flour, soybean oil, gelatin (capsule shell), calcium salts of fatty acids (anti-caking agent).

APPLICATION
One capsule per day. Do not exceed the recommended daily dose. This product should not be used as a substitute for a balanced diet. This product is not recommended for pregnant or breastfeeding women.
