Sharp-PS is phosphatidylserine from the soy phospholipid complex. Phosphatidylserine is a naturally occurring phospholipid, a lipid component of cell membranes. It plays a key role, especially in the cells of the central nervous system, as it is responsible for their structure and efficient functioning, and supports the activity of many important neurotransmitters and their receptors. Phosphatidylserine concentration decreases with age, hence the common decline in cognitive abilities (i.e., thinking, remembering, understanding, etc.) in the elderly.
