Shea butter deserves special attention here, as it is an excellent alternative to unhealthy, refined palm oil. Shea butter is a product of Central and West Africa. It is obtained from the parka shea nut, a tall tree called the "tree of life" by the people of Africa. Shea butter is rich in valuable health ingredients.
