Linseed oil is a product that can be considered one of our Polish superfoods, an antioxidant. Its valuable properties have been appreciated since ancient times. This oil is extracted from the seeds of common flaxseed. It features a ratio of omega fatty acids appropriate for our body. It contains unsaturated fatty acids, which are very important for our body because we cannot synthesize them ourselves and therefore must be supplied with food. Omega-3 and omega-6 in the correct ratio have a positive effect on the cardiovascular system. These polyunsaturated fatty acids influence the condition of the membranes of all cells in our body. They are also involved in the synthesis of many processes related to the circulatory system, its regulation, and regeneration.
This oil is pressed at temperatures below 50 degrees Celsius. This is a necessary condition to preserve the oil's nutritional values, which are important to us. This mainly concerns fatty acids.

The first information about linseed oil dates back to around 650 BC. Hippocrates recommended the use of this oil for problems with the digestive system.
Linseed oil is the main ingredient of the "Budwig Diet." Its name comes from the German biochemist Johanna Budwig. Oils with a high linolenic content are often referred to as "Budwig."
