A cultivated plant in Poland. An annual plant very similar to thistles, the milk thistle grows to 1.5 m tall and about 60 cm wide. It is characterized by dark green leaves with a white marbled pattern, which are about 50 cm long and 25 cm wide. This plant produces light brown to dark brown seeds. The milk thistle is characterized by its high fiber content, which has a positive effect on the digestive system. Milk thistle is a source of protein, an essential part of the diet.

How to use: The grains should be ground or pureed. The powder can be added to salads, steamed vegetables, cereals, and baked goods. It can also be used as an infusion: Add 1 teaspoon of the powder to 1 cup of hot water and bring to a slow boil. Cover and simmer gently for about 5-10 minutes. Set aside for 15 minutes, then strain.
