A cultivated plant in Poland. This annual plant is very similar to thistles. An adult specimen of milk thistle reaches a height of 1.5 m and a width of about 60 cm. It is characterized by large, dark green leaves with a white marbled pattern. This plant produces light brown to dark brown grains. Milk thistle is a source of protein, an essential part of the diet.

DIRECTIONS : Pour 1 teaspoon of the powder into 1 cup of hot water and bring to a boil. Cover and simmer gently for 5-10 minutes. Let it steep for 15 minutes, then strain. Drink the brewed liquid in three servings daily. Ground milk thistle can also be added to soups, vegetable dishes, cereals, dairy products (yogurt, kefir, cottage cheese), bread, and fruit drinks. It is recommended to consume up to 2 teaspoons of milk thistle daily. Not recommended for babies and young children.
