It contains 79% less saturated fat than butter.
It is rich in OMEGA-3 fatty acids thanks to vegetable oils.
Plant stanol esters have been shown to lower blood cholesterol levels. High cholesterol is a risk factor for developing coronary heart disease. 30 g is the recommended daily serving of the product, which contains 2 g of plant stanols. The effect of reducing cholesterol by 7–10% is achieved within 2–3 weeks of use when consuming 1.5–2.4 g of plant stanols per day, i.e., 3–4 slices of spread with Benecol.
