Almond Flour 250g - VIVIO

Almond flour is nothing more than a product made from ground almond seeds. This plant, a member of the rose family, is native to Asia Minor and Central Asia. However, its numerous cultivated plants can now also be found in Europe (with a particular focus on the Mediterranean region) . Unfortunately, the weather conditions in Poland are not favorable for the cultivation of this plant. Nevertheless, we can still find some representatives of this amazing tree here.
Almonds, as almond kernels are called, are considered one of the healthiest nuts. Interestingly, there are two varieties worldwide. The first, characterized by a sweet taste, are often used in cooking and are used to make tasty almond flour. The second, characterized by a bitter taste due to its high anti-cancer potential, is widely used in the cosmetics and pharmaceutical industries. Interestingly, both almonds and the flour made from them are not only delicious but, above all, a true treasure trove of valuable nutrients for health. These include protein and essential unsaturated fatty acids (including monounsaturated and polyunsaturated fatty acids) . This product is also able to supply our body with valuable minerals such as magnesium, phosphorus, calcium, and potassium, as well as essential vitamins (with a special emphasis on vitamin E, which many consider the vitamin of youth).
Although almond flour has become relatively popular on the Polish market relatively recently, it was actually used as early as the 13th century. Back then, it was the basis of an Italian dessert made from almond flour, eggs, butter, and sugar. Interestingly, St. Francis of Assisi is said to have been an admirer of this delicacy. Medieval literature also contains information about the use of ground almonds to thicken soups and sauces. Almond flour is a creamy powder with a pleasantly sweet flavor. Most importantly, it is not only extremely tasty and useful in the kitchen, but, most importantly, can have a positive effect on our health and daily well-being.

APPLICATION

- When breading meat;
- When thickening aromatic soups and sauces;
- When preparing homemade ice cream desserts and even nutritious fruit smoothies.
