Flaxseed oil is an excellent source of Omega-3, Omega-6 and Omega-9 and ensures an optimal balance between these acids.
ALA acid, an omega-3 fatty acid, lowers insulin levels, improves insulin sensitivity, has a protective effect on the cardiovascular system, lowers LDL cholesterol and serum triglycerides, and has anti-inflammatory effects. Linoleic acid reduces serum triglycerides and lowers blood pressure. It is essential for normal body growth and also plays an important role in skin pigmentation and the healing of damaged epidermis. Oleic acid reduces the risk of cholesterol oxidation in the LDL fraction and lowers its serum concentration, while increasing the concentration of the HDL fraction.
