Without research, it's difficult to determine an organism's acid-base balance at home. However, the pH of urine can be very accurately approximated. The measurement is easy thanks to the detailed instructions included with the test kit.

Measurement accuracy:

Our papers measure pH with an accuracy of approximately 0.2 degrees. Therefore, they are suitable for detailed pH measurements, unlike most other litmus tests, which have a scale of 1 degree.

For example, the pH value in urine is approximately 5.6 - 7.5. Using our papers, you can detect various, even minor, fluctuations in pH throughout the day, as the papers can display the following values ​​in sequence: 5.6; 5.9; 6.2; 6.5; 6.8; 7.0; 7.2; 7.4. Papers with a color scale at one pH level only display a value of 6 or 7.

The papers can be used to determine both acid and alkali levels. Measurements should be carried out over a period of at least two weeks. The papers contain a table where the measurement results can be systematically marked.

Accurately measure urine pH:

Collect fresh urine in a container, tear off litmus paper and immerse the indicator field (yellow) in the urine for about 1 second.
You can also moisten a litmus paper in your urine stream.
The indicator field must not be touched with your fingers beforehand!
The indicator field changes color depending on the pH value.
The color of the indicator should be compared with the color scale within 2 minutes and the pH value should be read.
