Knotweed contains flavonoids such as:
Quercetin, Hyperoside, Routine, and essential oils and saponins, incl. and ellagic acid. Thanks to these ingredients, knotweed preparations have a sealing effect on the walls of blood vessels. They also increase blood viscosity, thereby helping to stop bleeding. Traditional phytotherapy recommends the use of knotweed in cases of excessive menstruation, gastric ulcers, gastrointestinal bleeding and hemorrhoids. They can be helpful in the fight against "spider veins", brittle capillaries, varicose veins and swelling.
