Blackcurrant (Ribes nigrum L.) is a plant in the gooseberry family native to temperate regions of Eurasia. The blackcurrant is prized primarily for its small, tart-sweet fruit and has numerous health-promoting properties. 100 g of its fruit provides more than two and a half times our daily vitamin C needs, making it recommended for colds. Blackcurrants are also rich in soluble fiber, or pectin, which can prevent excessive increases in plasma cholesterol and high blood sugar levels. Blackcurrants are also a source of vitamin A, which affects vision.
Pasteurized product. Made using artisanal methods using only fresh, organic Polish currants. No frozen fruit or concentrates were used in the production process.
