Jasmine rice is a long-grain rice with a natural flavor. Grown in ecologically clean areas in northeastern Thailand, it is considered one of the finest rice varieties and is characterized by a specific, subtle fragrance of jasmine blossoms. Its grains are long and silky white. This rice variety is worth trying not only for its exquisite flavor but also for its richness in protein, fiber, and carbohydrates. It also contains B vitamins and minerals, including potassium and phosphorus. This easily digestible and low-calorie rice is recommended for people on a diet. After cooking, the product retains its color and becomes slightly sticky. May contain gluten. Jasmine rice is cooked in the same way as other varieties. First, rinse it under running water and then boil it in salted water over low heat for a few minutes. Finally, let it stand, covered, for about 10 minutes.
