Hyaluronic acid is a naturally occurring substance in the body in the form of sodium hyaluronate. More than half of the total amount of hyaluronan is found in the skin and in the intercellular space, which is directly responsible for proper skin hydration, elasticity, and suppleness. With age, its amount in the dermis layer decreases, leading to a loss of skin firmness and elasticity. Therefore, the direct application of hyaluronan and sodium to the skin compensates for these deficiencies, exerting a moisturizing, smoothing, and anti-wrinkle effect, as well as stimulating cells for intensive regeneration.
