Buckwheat flour, as the name suggests, is made from buckwheat. Buckwheat, a plant in the knotweed family native to temperate Eurasia, is one of the healthiest grains. Brought to Poland by the Tatars and sometimes called cream of tartar, buckwheat boasts numerous nutritional and health-promoting properties. Ground buckwheat grains have a brownish hue and are characterized by properties similar to the original raw material. 100 g of oat flour contains over 7 g of fiber, which supports the digestive system, and 12 g of protein, the basic building block of all our body's organs. Buckwheat flour is also rich in B vitamins and minerals—magnesium, iron, copper, and phosphorus.
Organic light buckwheat flour is made from hulled, unroasted buckwheat grains. Recommended for pancake batter, pasta, cakes, and pancakes. When combined with other flours, it's also perfect for bread baking.
