The highest quality cold-pressed hemp seed oil is a natural product, free from preservatives and artificial additives. It is a pure, unrefined product, which preserves the most valuable properties of the seeds from which it was extracted. Hemp oil is extremely rich in unsaturated fatty acids (EFAs), which have the ideal ratio of omega-6 to omega-3 acids, namely 3:1. When used in cold dishes, it imparts a slightly nutty aftertaste, and an interesting dark green color enhances their visual qualities. In cosmetics, it is used for body, face, and hair care.
