Botwina or beetroot are young leaves and beets. This name is also used to describe the soup, which is the main ingredient.
As early as the 4th century B.C. Like other vegetables, beetroot is low in calories and extremely rich in vitamins and mineral salts, including vitamin A, B vitamins, vitamin C, vitamin D, vitamin K, calcium, iron, copper and magnesium.
In the kitchen it is mainly used as an addition to soups, cold soups and borscht, but it is also a good addition to salads and stews.
