DESCRIPTION

Psyllium (Plantogo psyllium L.) is also called Mediterranean plantain due to its region of origin. The seeds of this unassuming plant contain valuable fiber and natural mucilage. After ingestion, psyllium swells in the intestines, stimulating peristaltic activity. The fiber contained in the seeds supports digestion and increases the feeling of satiety. Upon contact with water, the seeds release mucilage, which facilitates the movement of residual waste in the intestines. This facilitates bowel movements with regular consumption of plantains.
