Catalytic Performance

Studies show that carbon nanotubes possess excellent catalytic properties and can be used as a replacement for metal oxides in alkane dehydrogenation reactions. They significantly increase the selectivity of olefins such as propylene, butadiene, and styrene, and lower the reaction temperature of industrial processes by approximately 200–300 °C. The selectivity in the oxidative dehydrogenation of alkanes, such as ethylbenzene, exceeds 90%.
