Porcini mushroom ( Cepio edulis ), also called cep, white mushroom, edible porcini, or beautiful mushroom, is one of the most common among edible mushrooms. Already appreciated by the ancient Slavs, the mushroom is an exceptionally aromatic addition to many dishes. Common porcini can be found in Polish forests; it is also found in other parts of Europe, North America, New Zealand, and southern Africa.
