Groats made from hulled and roasted buckwheat seeds. Whole buckwheat groats (white or roasted) are used to make buckwheat flour. It pairs excellently with meat dishes, all kinds of stews, or sauces. Ground buckwheat can be used for making bread, cakes, and pastries - especially for those who should avoid gluten. Combined with cottage cheese and vegetables, it makes a great filling for pancakes and dumplings, and when paired with mushrooms, it creates a vegetarian filling for stuffed cabbage rolls.
