In the 20th century, the Portuguese Julio de Sousa Lopes became an avid promoter and enthusiast of borutto. He spent almost his entire life in Africa, observing nature and learning about the lives of the local tribes. Through his friendly demeanor and the help he provided through his bioenergetic abilities, he gained their trust and favor. He was fascinated by the infusion made from the root of the borututu tree, which was consumed, among other things, before ritual ceremonies to avoid the toxic effects of hallucinogens. He also observed the use of the infusion for many other ailments.

He devoted his entire passion to researching the benefits of the borututu tree and its miraculous root, which African nature offers to humanity. He concluded that modern medicine could be perfectly supported by the use of an infusion made from the borutu root. He therefore set about harvesting the borutu root, using only the most abundant areas of the species, thus obtaining a first-class and potent raw material. It is noteworthy that only a reasonable portion of the roots is harvested from selected plants, allowing the plants to continue to develop.

Furthermore, care is taken to ensure that the roots are dried and stored under natural conditions. The dried root is only sold after appropriate testing to ensure its use is safe and as beneficial as possible.
