Almonds are seeds of almond fruit, there are two types of them : edible, more commonly grown sweet almonds and poisonous, after purification of toxic substances used in the manufacture of almond oil, soaps and aromatic essences, bitter almonds.
Almonds are a valuable source of micro and macro elements necessary for proper nutritional functioning of the body. They are particularly rich in fiber, niacin, vitamin E, riboflavin, folic acid, magnesium, copper, iron, manganese, zinc and potassium.
Almonds are a great snack and a delicious addition to dessert. They also go well with pasta and rice. Finely chopped, they are also suitable as a coating.
