Monte Veronese is an Italian PDO cheese from the Veneto region of northern Italy. The milk comes from a predominantly Alpine area, rich in fertile pastures with a long tradition of livestock, milk, and cheese production. Monte Veronese D' allevo is made from semi-skimmed milk from cows grazing high in the mountains from May to October. Perfect for a cheese platter, it is a source of healthy protein and calcium, essential for healthy teeth and bones. It pairs well with bitter jams and a good glass of Bardolino wine . It also works well as an addition to salads, bread, or as a pair with pickled cucumbers, tomatoes, and other vegetables.
