Mozzarella is a pillowy cheese originating from the southern Italian region of Campania, known for its consistency after melting. Originally made mostly from fresh buffalo milk, rarely cow's milk, or a blend of milk from different sources, today the cow's milk variety is more common, especially in Poland. Mozzarella is most often sold as small, oval curds soaked in whey. Mozzarella cheese is a valuable source of vitamins A, B, E, K, and D and minerals such as calcium, magnesium, phosphorus, iron, potassium, copper, selenium, and zinc. Recommended for salads, bread, and casseroles, it is a traditional ingredient in many Italian dishes, including lasagna, Caprese salads, many types of pizza, and pasta dishes. The product is made from organic cow's milk without the addition of thickeners, preservatives, or colorings.
