Borscht is a very popular soup in many Central European countries. Its base is a broth made from beetroot and bones, topped with beetroot kvass. Red borscht is usually served with potatoes, dumplings with cabbage and mushrooms, or a pie, or as a drink, such as croquettes. It is a traditional dish served during Christmas Eve dinner. In addition to its undeniable taste, borscht also provides, among other things, B vitamins necessary for the proper functioning of the nervous system, vitamin C supporting immunity, and valuable mineral salts such as iron and potassium.
The product is pasteurized and contains no preservatives, acidity regulators, or antioxidants.
