DESCRIPTION
Oak flour was once used as food, especially in times when access to food was limited.
Modern research has confirmed its very high nutritional value and content of valuable nutrients for health.
Compared to grain flour, it is many times richer in potassium, calcium and magnesium, which are important minerals for health.
This flour is very rich in B vitamins and contains many valuable fibers for the function of the digestive tract and over 5% unsaturated fatty acids.
PREPARATION
Acorn flour can be used as a refining addition to grain flour in a ratio of 2/3 grain flour and 1/3 acorn flour and can be used to bake bread, rolls, biscuits and other products.
It can also be used in all dishes where cereal flour is usually added, e.g. as an addition to pasta, omelettes, potato pancakes (adding 1/3 acorn flour to 2/3 grated potatoes).
