This product represents the latest advances in the production technology and biochemistry of probiotic supplements. The bacterial strains offered by Solgar are live. All strains are first-pass produced. The bacterial strains are resistant to high stomach acid, but for additional protection, the products in this series are encapsulated in microcapsules made of a polysaccharide matrix, which increases their survivability in the digestive system. The capsule dissolves very quickly, and the polysaccharide gel within the capsule forms a protective matrix around the bacteria. This gel is resistant to stomach acid and only dissolves in the less acidic environment of the duodenum, where the bacteria are released to perform their function in the gastrointestinal tract. The new strains were tested in an acidic environment similar to that of the stomach and found to be able to survive for two hours. Unlike conventional probiotics, they can therefore be taken with food.
Maintaining adequate intestinal flora has a positive effect on the body's immunity. It also influences the proper absorption of nutrients from food. This can increase the absorption of micronutrients from food.

S. thermophilus, TH-4TM - 300 million live microorganisms

APPLICATION
1 to 2 capsules per day.
Best taken with a meal or use as indicated.
