We recommend letting the candle burn until the wax on the surface has completely melted, i.e., forming a so-called \"pool.\" - This usually takes 3 to 4 hours. For smaller candles, about 2-3 hours. This prevents the phenomenon of \"tunneling,\" which can lead to faulty burning and reduced candle performance. Tunneling - A shortened burn time can cause only part of the wax surface around the wick to melt and burn, which can deepen the tunneling. As a result, the candle may extinguish due to a lack of oxygen for the flame. Avoid \"burning\" a candle only briefly or just lighting it to test the fragrance to prevent this phenomenon. If you want to burn a candle only briefly, we recommend choosing our smaller candles and trimming the wick cold before the next lighting to achieve an even and aesthetic burn.
